I do not have a green thumb. I forget to water my plants, I don't know whether they need sun or shade, and I don't how big a planter they need. Most my plants die within a few months. This one is the exception. I call it the Grandpa plant, because I kept it from my Grandpa's funeral four years ago. Although I don't need a plant to keep my Grandpa's memory alive, it helps to to have a visual in my apartment reminding me every day of his kind heart, love, and wisdom. I forget to water it all the time, and it's traveled many miles with me, but it is still going strong. And it reminds me that some things never die, like the memory of a loved one.
